San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum

Explore the nation’s largest multi-sport museum, located in the spacious 68,000-square-foot Federal Building in Balboa Park.  Kentucky Derby and Preakness trophies, the sculptures of A. Thomas Schomberg, Babe Ruth and Ted Williams memorabilia, vintage “ironing board” surfboards—it’s all at the San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum, a destination for sports fans of all ages.  Home to the legendary Breitbard Hall of Fame, which honors the achievements of local athletes, the museum offers unique memorabilia for all athletic interests. Closed: May be closed major U.S. holidays

Directions: The museum is located on the south end of Balboa Park in the historical Federal Building. Neighboring the Aerospace Museum and the Municipal Gym, the Hall of Champions is located just off President’s Way and Park Blvd.
