Coronado "Promenade through the Past" Walking Tour

Coronado, and the landmark Hotel del Coronado, play their part in the history of the San Diego area. Take a tour of the 1910 Museum of History and Art, located in Coronado’s historic Bank of Commerce and Trust Building. Three permanent galleries highlight Coronado’s settlers, the role of the U.S. Navy in the development of the town, the history of the Hotel del Coronado, and the Tent City summer resort. The fourth gallery hosts a quarterly rotation of traveling and special exhibits connected to Coronado’s history, art and architecture.  Whether you are a resident of Coronado or just visiting, the Museum’s 60 minute, easy-paced walking tour led by specially-trained docents from the Museum’s Promenade Guild is a wonderful way to learn more about the area's architecturally and historically significant buildings.
